Hidden Secret [ Horatio ]

[Ryan Wolfe]

Ryan was in the locker room on his own looking at the reminders he'd gotten on his torso after he showered and he still had nightmares but while he thought that nobody knew of his torment, Horatio had noticed a change in Ryan and he didn't know how or what but wanted to when he entered the locker room only to find Ryan there and the scars showing.

How will Horatio react when Ryan explains the truth?

[Lt. Horatio Caine]

Horatio walked into the locker room and as he came in he noticed Ryan who had just taken a shower standing there and on his torso were scars, Horatio looked at Ryan then stepped closer and fiddled with his sunglasses, "Mr Wolfe how did you get those scars?" Horatio asked calmly dreading what might come next.

[Ryan Wolfe]

Ryan sighed then said " Sarnoff did this to me two months ago." and traced the worst scar with his finger, remembering that night.

[Lt. Horatio Caine]

Horatio looks at Ryan, "Why didn't you tell any of us" Horatio asked raising his eyebrows, "We would have been more sympathetic towards you"

[Ryan Wolfe]

Ryan sighed the admitted " I couldn't tell anyone as I thought that I could deal with it myself and get nightmares now and then. Sorry H."

[Lt. Horatio Caine]

H nodded he understood the feeling of that, "Have you seen a department councillor about what happened?" asked Horatio but he knew himself that he didn't like them but he managed to get Eric to see a councillor after the shooting. "If you need me Mr Wolfe I will always be open"

[Ryan Wolfe]

" No I haven't seen anyone about this. Thanks H." Ryan said and sighed while looking at the worst scar by his shoulder

[Lt. Horatio Caine]

Horatio nodded but knew that Ryan wasn't up to talking to anyone, "If I was you Mr Wolfe I would go and see a department Councillor even if you don't want to because it will make it better for you"H said hoping to persuade Ryan into seeing one.

[Ryan Wolfe]

" Yeah I know and will do that when I feel ready to." Ryan said and winced

[Lt. Horatio Caine]

Horatio smiled and nodded, "I know how it feels to keep something away from someone for a long time, it takes its toll" H replied remembering Marisol's dead body when she died in hospital

" Yeah I know and they took a tooth as well. I was scared and even to tell anyone." Ry admitted

[Lt. Horatio Caine]

Horatio nodded and looked at Ryan, "Mr Wolfe, there will be mental scarring, and it will take you sometime to recover, if you need anyone to talk to at all and anytime, you can come to me" H reassured Ryan

" Thanks H and might take you up on that sometime." Ryan replied

[Lt. Horatio Caine]

H nodded and smiled before putting his sunglasses on. His cell phone goes off and H answers it "Caine" he said and then he listened, there was a murder down on the beach. He hung up after his call and then looks at Ryan, "We have a call"

[Ryan Wolfe]

Ryan nodded and got changed and then met H out at the Hummer

[Lt. Horatio Caine]

H watched Ryan as they got into his Hummer, it seemed to be murder so H zoomed to the crime scene with his lights flashing. H was concerned about Ryan but he knew he had to keep an eye out for him

Ryan was quiet in the Hummer and he sighed to himself.

[Lt. Horatio Caine]

H could sense something wrong with Ryan, he was quiet and he sighed, "Before we get to the Crime Scene, is there something else you want to ask me?" he asked

Ry sighed again then said " You won't tell anyone about this right?"

[Lt. Horatio Caine]

H looked at Ryan, "What gets said in this Hummer stays between the two of us" after all Horatio would not have been a good supervisor for nothing, he looks out for all his CSIs.

[Ryan Wolfe]

" Thanks H and I know that I should of told you but I couldn't as I thought it would go away but it's there all the time niggling away. I close my eyes and think it's happening again." Ryan said

[Lt. Horatio Caine]

Horatio looked at Ryan and nodded, "I can see where you are coming from, I have something that not many people know of and that is when I was shot and Natalia was trapped in the boot of that car and was in the water, I should have died but Marisol came back to me and she told me not to give up and that people still need me, I should have just let myself go but I didn't...I did it for her my wife"Horatio glanced at Ryan before looking back at the road, "I always saw something in you Mr Wolfe, I knew the day I hired you that you would be able to be the best CSI you could ever be. I don't want you to think about anything else except to concentrate on you do best"

Ryan knew that H was right and admitted " I should of told you what happened but part of me wasn't gonna reveal it. It niggles away at night and I keep thinking that it's still happening."

[Lt. Horatio Caine]

Horatio nodded, "That happens...I still think every time I wake up that I'm still bleeding but I'm not and that's always going to be on my mind" Horatio said and he could see where Ryan was coming from.

[Ryan Wolfe]

Ryan then admitted " Most nights when I try to sleep and I keep thinking that he's still there hurting me and I don't know what to do."
